Ni Hao from China!

We are now in our 4th week of travel (sometimes it feels like we've been gone 4 months!) and all is well. We had a great last week in Japan staying with the Tensaka family in Morita and enjoying some fabulous hospitality: amazing (and often mysterious) food, three 40th birthday parties for me, and Karaoke - all the while making some great new friends. We said goodbye to Travis (thanks for all of the help T-Bone!) and hopped our next plane to Beijing. Needless to say, China is very different from Japan. We are gathering some great research for Oliver's "Potties Around the World" book here. We have visited the Forbidden City, watched a Chinese Acrobats show, hiked along the Great Wall and eaten some interesting snacks (scorpions and squid at the Donganmen Yeshi Night Market to mention a few). Tomorrow, Nov. 5, we are off to Thailand and are all looking forward to getting out of the big crowded city and onto the beach! We hope everyone is fabulous and we miss you all...

Love the photos! Keep them coming. We are excited to hear all about your trip and try new foods along with you, but I have to draw the line at Scorpions on a Stick (good band name huh?) - even though food on a stick does tend to taste better. Gus and Eliot miss the boys and we are saving some of our magazines to send once you have an address. Oh yes, found out a wee fact the other day...it's a boy! Four boys! I keep repeating those last two words over and over again, letting it sink in. Today we went out looking for land. It's all good, and we feel blessed that he is healthy and strong.
Love to everyone- Zoe, Van, and the Boyz

Hi Crawfords! The pictures are great...Keith, are you singing "Grease Lightning?" Glad to hear that all is well. It looks like you are having an amazing time. I am still hanging out in unemployment land and sure wish I was traveling instead. Have a great time!

Hey Oliver and Emmett, you guys look like you are having a lot of fun. Judi and I wish we were there with you. You really look good in the photos and who would of thought that you guys would find Pokeman way out there in another world. I bet you are having a good time trying all the differant foods too. I didn't think I would like the one dish that looked like bats or what ever it was. Yuk! I agree with you Emmett, where's the Pizza? You guys keep taking some great photos and we will keep enjoying them. Miss you all, Uncle Ron & Aunt Judi
HAPPY THANKGIVING

Patty and I just got your blog from Dale. Dale and I helped the Lobos beat the Aggies (by the skin of their teeth) Tuesday night.

This blog is a fabulous idea. Your pictures and comments are wonderful. We love keeping up with you. Why didn't we think about expanding our trips back when we were all going skiing! Have a wonderful Christmas in Vietnam.

Love, Patty and Bill
