(sorry for all of the pictures at once - we just figured out how to upload them...so this will catch you up)

Konnichiwa!
We are slowly adjusting to life in Japan. Oliver is fixated with the fancy toilets (and some not so fancy) and Emmett is desperately hunting for pizza. The food for the rest of us is delicious: bento boxes with chicken or unagi (eel), pickled okra, rice, salad, miso soup, tempura, udon noodles and sushi. We are busily navigating the subways and train lines with Keith's good directions. Our Tokyo hotel is near the Shinjuku Station - one of the world's busiest with nearly 3 million users each day! Make that 3 million and four with us here. Oliver's new favorite place to be is the bathroom as the toilet is fascinating. Emmett decided he was happy to be in Japan while at the Nijo Castle in Kyoto and at the Pokemon Center in Tokyo. We are off tomorrow for a trip to Mt. Fuji and then will go up North with Uncle T-Bone to his old stomping grounds. It will be very different from Tokyo he keeps telling us. I guess that means no fancy toilets...Love to you all.

I could never bring myself to use anything but the butt-warmer and built-in fan.
Make sure you go to Tokyo Hands - it should be right around the corner from you. Be sure to go all the way up to the top floor to the toy dept. Also check out the entire wall of personal ashtrays. Amazing.

A note for Oliver-Uncle Kevin and Aunt Maureen just had one of those Japanese toilets installed at home in the USA and Kevin is too scared to use it! But, when you miss Japan in the years to come, you can visit us to warm, clean, and dry your bum--or, better yet, get your mom and dad to put one in your bathroom when you get home! Mitchell and Clayton are jealous about the Pokemon Center! Keep the pictures coming. We are loving them.

Hey you guys!! See what day light savings does...gets you up early, and a little girl up early. With the little extra time I said it's time to see what the Crawfords are up to. So very fun to hear about the adventure and see pictures. Can't wait to see pics from Mt. Fuji and the other parts of Japan.
Self cleaning toilets....gotta love the Japanese, I've been trying to figure out a way to do that for several years.
All is good here, very busy as you can imagine. Grandma is here and Andie gets dedicated at church today. She continues to grow like crazy and is tons of fun.
We remain super excited, and now after finally checking out the blog, are even more jealous. I'm secretly plotting a way to meet you somewhere along the way. Don't you need something from the house that you forgot?
Take care and keep soaking it all in.
